Title: Digital Commerce Manager

Division: Kate Spade Japan - Digital Commerce

Reports to: Digital Commerce Senior Manager

Location: Tokyo

Primary Purpose:

This role is responsible for executing the on-site trading and merchandizing based on GTM strategy. As store management manager, this role is instrumental in ensuring online trading / merchandising KPIs are correctly set and continuously improved to meet digital commerce team 's mission and goal. It is also the responsibility of the role to ensure commercial platforms to reflect digital commerce team's product and category strategy. This role covers both direct and 3rd party platforms.

Key responsibilit ies :

DIGITAL MERCHANDISING (50%)
  • Become the digital merchandising champion and always be deeply familiar with products and categories of Kate Spade.
  • Ensure the product and category are easily finable based on seasonal product strategy.
  • Work closely with the digital sales team and merchandising teams to create the appropriate online shopping experience for users. Manage vendor relationships.
  • Develop yearly online merchandising KGI and KPIs based on new functionality & feature that will be delivered by digital COE team from Tapestry.
  • Manage product listing cycles such as product launch due date based on GTM strategy.
  • Be the key user for SalesForce Commerce Cloud and PIM ensuring accurate, high-quality merchandising at all times by closely communicating with Tapestry Digital COE team
  • Update and manage product catalogue, categories and promotions by the operating merchant tool
  • Plan improvements of the website for better online trading with Digital Commerce Operation team and better work efficiency. Work closely with Tapestry team for the improvements as a member of the agile software developments
  • Research other regions and similar/competitive brands and ensure the site exceeds what customers would expect when browsing products.
  • Be open to learn new technologies in eCommerce industries.


CONTENTS MANAGEMENT (30%)
  • Implement and Update SEO element / information on product and category level.
  • Plan, develop story driven selling by enriching PDP, PLP contents.
  • Manage gateway contents take over cycle.
  • Manage filtering, sorting rules.


ANALYTICS AND REPORTING (20%)
  • Provide merchandising assistants repetitive tasks to execute online trading and report to the online producer for the resource needs.
  • Oversee and implement trading reporting and improve on online trading KPI.
  • Weekly and monthly online reporting
  • Manage 3rd party tools such as Google Analytics to optimize the websites and deliver relevant cross and up sell products inclusive.


Candidate profile :
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field is preferred.
  • 5 years+ online business experience and knowledge of digital products such as PIM, CMS is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Web Analytics is required.
  • Experience with project management, client relations, managing cross functional teams is plus.
  • Vendor management experience preferred.
  • Business level N1 Japanese / Business level English communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with achieving sales target or other KPI goals is required.
  • Attention to detail, Customer perspective oriented, Creative thinker.


Key relationship :
  • Interact daily with all members of the Digital Commerce team to share priorities and work as one team. Work closely with marketing team for campaign management process. Digital COE team at tapestry is also the key team for this position to learn and utilize digital products.
