PRESS MANAGER
Founded in 2017 in London, Métier is a luxury leather goods house dedicated to creating beautiful and timeless pieces of the highest quality, handcrafted in Italy. Designs stem from experience, countless consultations and conversations with discerning friends, global travellers and avid collectors, coupled with the desire to simplify. The result is an exacting collection set to solve modern day grievances and streamline life exquisitely.
Since our launch, the support we have received from the revered editors and tastemakers around the world have been a critical part of our success. This work has been carefully curated through a close partnership between Métier founder, Melissa Morris and Sara Byworth, founder of Sara Byworth, who heads our global communications in New York City. As we grow rapidly, we are excited to expand the team and introduce a Press Manager based in London to help drive these exciting initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities

In-house point person for all global press interactions

Drives and implements strategic initiatives on a global scale

Communicates all press placements and plans to our internal team

Plans and executes press meetings

Produces all brand events around the world
Key Competencies and Skills

In general we are looking for someone who is highly passionate about the art of communication, understanding its nuances and discerning nature. They must also be incredibly passionate about luxury design and the Métier identity.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Strategic, able to connect the dots and think outside of the box

Global understanding and experience in working with different markets

Strong pre-existing relationships in the sector

Able to organize press days and meetings and can take appointments directly

Exceptional team player with strong communication skills to work successfully with external
partners and as well as internal teams to ensure alignment

Proactive, sense of urgency, a self-starter

Highly organized and proactive project manager. Loves to create simple, efficient processes to
keep things organized and moving forward smoothly.

Experienced in event production in various scales

Experienced in managing budgets and cost negotiations

Able to think and plan ahead to ensure all deadlines are met. Able to foresee roadblocks to prevent
where possible. They are a passionate problem solver who stays calm under pressure and can multi-task and prioritize effectively. They know that by being organized and prepared, they can thrive in a fast-paced environment and capitalize on last minute ideas and opportunities.
