Your Opportunity The Alexander McQueen Retail Director will lead all activities to achieve business objectives, ensuring an unparalleled client experience. Responsible for setting up the strategy and vision for the area/markets assigned, providing adequate recommendations and improvement plans based on store results. Performing with a high level of integrity, this role will take full ownership of the business, loss prevention compliance, human resources management. You are a motivating and inspiring leader; you coach and work closely with your team of store managers to achieve their sales target, maximizing all the commercial opportunities. You mentor and develop your store managers team by working closely with them; you set them up for success through succession planning and ensuring internal growth. Leading by example and guaranteeing excellence in Client experience through local market knowledge and promoting the values and ambitions of the brand within the marketplace.

Key Accountabilities

Business
  • Drive and implement effective sales strategies to increase revenue and profit margins in Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan
  • Responsible for delivering monthly sales volumes and communicating to the management team and wider business any changes to budget, target or latest estimate,
  • Inspire, lead, and motivate Store Manager teams through regular feedback, 1:1’s, personal development plans and objectives
  • Monitor competitors and industry trends to stay ahead of the curve and adapt to changing market conditions
  • Placing customer experience at the heart of all processes and decisions
  • Manage processes to ensure that the team is as effective as possible to meet business goals
  • Coordinate and oversee the daily store operation such as sales, expense control, staff training, CRM, inventory management, security, and safety, etc.
  • Work cross-functionally and collaboratively with Training to organize staff learning and development programs for store staff to ensure store operation standards and to maintain high standard of customer satisfaction
  • Work closely with Merchandising Department to ensure competitive merchandise assortment and maximized sales of merchandise in the region
  • Partner with Global Retail and Commercial teams to ensure that the Customer Experience is consistently executed across all stores network
  • To enhance operation efficiency as well as to ensure the effective implementation of business promotion initiatives and marketing programs at store level to enhance House’s awareness
  • To perform other related ad hoc tasks and projects where necessary


Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above with at least 15-year hands-on retail sales or store operation experience in which 8 years at managerial level
  • Prior exposure in luxury goods or premium fashion brands with Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan coverage is preferred
  • Proven experience in regional retail and operations management
  • Demonstrated strong sense of high-end fashion with sound knowledge in visual merchandising and promotions
  • Well organize and possess strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skill
  • Good command of both spoken and written English
  • Good PC skills such as MS Office
  • Travel is required
